Anche John Legend ha deciso di pubblicare un album dedicato al Natale. E' il suo primo disco su questo tema e il titolo non poteva che essere... "A Legendary Christmas". L'uscita è prevista per il 26 ottobre.
A produrre il disco è Raphael Saadiq. "A Legendary Christmas" contiene i featuring di Esperanza Spalding e Stevie Wonder, che suona l’armonica in “What Christmas Means to Me”.
John Legend sarà anche impegnato nel “A Legendary Christmas Tour”: che partirà il 15 novembre da Clearwater, in Florida, e si concluderà il 30 dicembre a San Diego.
John Legend si è da poco aggiudicato un EGOT, ovvero è riuscito a vincere un Emmy (come produttore dello spettacolo “Jesus Christ Superstar – Live in Concert”), un Grammy (per l'esattezza ne ha vinti dieci), un Oscar (per la Miglior canzone originale, “Glory”, dal film “Selma”) e un Tony (per il Miglior revival di un’opera,“Jitney”).
